A shared passion
Before long, winemakers who shared the founders’ values and passion joined the small group. Together, they had the audacity to create a range of Blanc de Noirs Champagnes, made from grapes grown in their vineyards, which were mainly planted with Meunier.
Based in Janvry, 15 km west of Reims, in the locality known as “l’Auche,” it was only natural that they choose this name for their Champagne.
Today, drawing from a production area of approximately 100 hectares spread across some forty crus—some of which are classified as Premier Cru—Champagne CH. DE L'AUCHE is built on the passionate work of 60 winegrowers who, day after day, tend their vineyards to achieve optimal quality and craft great Champagnes.

Our vineyard is HVE/VDC certified. We support our winemakers in their transition to sustainable practices.
In 2024, we carried out our first organic harvest; the first organic vintages will therefore be available in a few years.

Although less well-known than Chardonnay or Pinot Noir,
Meunier remains an essential grape variety for the production of Champagne and our Champagnes.
Long considered a secondary grape variety, Meunier is now fully recognized for its unique role and potential. Whether used in blends or as a single-varietal wine, it produces Champagnes imbued with character, sincerity, and charm.
Meunier captivates with its generosity, consistency, and authenticity.
In the vineyard, it is more frost-resistant than other grape varieties. In wine, it brings a natural roundness and a delicate fruity expression that evoke the valley’s springtime orchards. Meunier is the memory of the terroir, the discreet link between tradition and modernity.
